Euro-pop – style of pop music, created in Europe in the 1970s, accentuated with catchy rhythms, music and even plain text. Style Euro-pop led the charts in the 1980s and 1990s. Some of the stars of this style came from France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands; a huge amount – Swedish nationality. In the 1970s, such groups were primarily popular in continental European countries. In the late 1980s – early 1990s, Roxette and Army of Lovers led style of Euro-Pop to the American and British students. By the early 1990s pop groups like Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys, have undergone serious impact of Euro-Pop.
